A love letter to Firenze!
For Gelato Mania’s latest interior, Florence provided the point of departure, not through literal references, but through material, craftsmanship and the quiet romance of spaces that feel collected over time.
Underfoot, natural limestone cobbles recall the worn streets of Firenze, their irregularity bringing an immediate sense of age and permanence. Above, generous folds of heavy velvet drapery soften the architecture, while Crema Marfil and Rosa Verona marble layer the space in warm, tonal stone.
The details are deliberately nostalgic, custom scalloped tables, a traditional newspaper stand lined with imported Italian magazines, and a brass mirror suspended from a chain, small moments intended to make the gelateria feel less newly designed and more discovered.
Perhaps the most romantic gesture is the imported French wallpaper, designed after an antique Beauvais tapestry. Its pastoral, painterly quality wraps the interior like an artwork, lending the space the richness and patina of another era.
